International Forum against Militarization and Violence

Who can participate?
Participation is open to anyone whose work addresses the issue of militarization and violence from a critical perspective. Proposals from diverse fields and genres that afford new insights on organizing and rethinking culture are welcomed.
Participation format
1. Participation in a WORKTABLE
You can register as a PARTICIPANT in the different Worktables specified below.
1.- Economical Violence
2.- Institutional Violence
3.- Juventicide
4.- Feminicide
5.- The extermination of vulnerable groups
6.- Culture
7.- Environmental violence
8.- Social struggle against violence
2. Paper presentation in any of the WORKTABLES
The papers or presentations must refer to any of the subjects above, the presentation should be 10 minutes long, and it should be submitted with anticipation along with the information about the speaker including name, title of the paper and WORKTABLE which is addressed to.
PARTICIPANTS can submit multiple papers or presentations for the different WORKTABLES.
Papers can be presented INDIVIDUALLY or as a GROUP.
A maximum of 5 papers should be submitted per WORKTABLE, and the participation will be subject to the space and time available for the realization of the forum.
3. Participation within an EVENT
In this category your participation may include without excluding other proposals or testimonials, round tables, conferences, book or magazine presentations, display of visual materials (video, photography, movie, and art, amongst others), performance, concerts, theatrical presentations and workshops. It’s necessary to register the EVENT and register the names of the people involved in the realization of the EVENT as PARTICIPANTS to the forum. Please include a brief description of the means of participation to place and schedule the events in the best way possible.
4. MEDIA
To participate in the coverage of the forum as a MEDIA REPORTER, you need to register as a PARTICIPANT to the forum and indicate which media you are reporting for.
How to register?
• Forum PARTICIPANTS (PARTICIPANTS in WORKTABLE, EVENT producers and MEDIA REPORTERS)
must register in the REGISTRATION OF PARTICIPANTS.
• To register an EVENT you must fill the REGISTER OF EVENT FORMAT.
• The REGISTER OF PARTICIPANT, REGISTER OF EVENT FORMAT and this invitation is available in our
blog: www.jzmov.com/porunaculturadiferente
• All the REGISTER FORMATS and PAPERS will be received electronically via our email:
foro.inscripcion@gmail.com or directly to the PUBLIC RELATIONS committee
• Anything that is not referred on this invitation will be resolved by the PUBLIC RELATIONS committee
and board of the forum.
• The deadline to submit the documents regarding REGISTRATION, EVENT and PAPERS is September
12, 2010. PARTICIPANTS without PAPERS or EVENTS can register before or during the forum.
IMPORTANT: Organizers will only consider the inclusion in the program of the forum those proposals that have been registered timely and according to the Forum criteria.
